Sermon Summary

As the Feast of Trumpets approaches, many voices and predictions are circulating—some claiming celestial signs, timelines, or even the rapture itself. Yet, Jesus warned us in Matthew 24 not to be deceived by false prophets or sensational claims. The real meaning of Trumpets is to awaken us, keep us watchful, and prepare us for Christ’s return.

In this message, Pastor Deininger outlines seven biblical principles to help believers discern truth from error and remain grounded in faith:

  • Watch and Pray Always – Vigilance in prayer guards us against temptation, keeps us ready for Christ’s return, and strengthens us against the enemy.
  • Encourage One Another as the Day Approaches – Fellowship strengthens our faith and helps us endure as we see prophetic fulfillment drawing near (Hebrews 10).
  • Trust the Sure Word of Prophecy – Scripture is not open to private interpretation; it is God-breathed and reliable, shining like a light in dark times (2 Peter 1).
  • God Reveals His Plans – The Lord does nothing without first revealing it to His servants, the prophets (Amos 3:7). Prophecy is meant to prepare and warn.
  • Understand Prophecy Properly – God’s Word is given “line upon line, precept upon precept.” Misusing or cherry-picking verses leads to misunderstanding.
  • Scripture Cannot Be Broken – Every promise of God will be fulfilled exactly as written (John 10:35).
  • Be Confident in God’s Love and Care – Even in trials, God promises to protect, strengthen, and deliver His people. We can stand firm in His promises without fear.

Conclusion:
As warnings and predictions increase in these end times, our calling is to stay close to God, rooted in prayer, Scripture, and fellowship. By discerning carefully what we see and hear, and by trusting God’s unfailing promises, we can face the future with courage and confidence—knowing that He will guide us safely into His Kingdom.
