Sermon Summary: Who Are We?

By Daniel Deininger — September 13, 2025 | Billings, MT

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, emotions are running high, and society is dividing into factions. Many rally around his name, but as followers of Jesus Christ, we must carefully consider who we truly represent. While we can be inspired by Kirk’s example, our ultimate allegiance is not to any man but to God the Father and Jesus Christ.

Scripture reminds us that believers are ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5), called to reconciliation, not division. Though the last days will bring perilous times (2 Timothy 3), deception, persecution, and lawlessness (Matthew 24), our mission remains the same: to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom and endure faithfully to the end.

Satan deceives the world with counterfeit religion and stirs persecution against God’s people (Revelation 12). Yet God’s Word calls us to live differently—seeking righteousness, pursuing peace, showing mercy, and shining as the light of the world (Matthew 5). Armed with the armor of God (Ephesians 6), we stand not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil.

Ultimately, our identity is not wrapped in political or cultural causes. We are disciples of Jesus Christ, servants of the living God, and ambassadors of His coming Kingdom. That is who we are—and who we must remain.
